Goodness me!! Mr.Vincent!? Where had you been?? You still alive??

Yeah yeah...I'm still here...blogging it's a long term dedication, dedication to the readers and myself too. It's unbelievable that i stop blogging for nearly 2 weeks! How can i let this happen?? Bad boy !! Vincent!!

Sorry guys and i don't mean it!!! I know...i know...i will give many stupid excuses but i really busy!!!!! I'm so stress up for the pass few weeks. I gonna rush for my programme notes and work for my finals, follow up with my graduation recital! YES!!! a solo recital man!! And i finally made it!!! yeah~~~ First of all i really have to say thanks to my dear pianist! She is a beautiful and understanding yet amazing pianist!!! Without her i can't make it!! She is~~~~~Kong Su Mei!!!!!!! muacks muacks~~~ a lot of kisses and hug for you!!

I'm so surprise Mr. Joost Flach came to my recital! I'm so nervous and i wish i don't screw up!!! fingers cross!!!! I had a good start on my J.S Bach sonata in E major, yes...i know...still shaky~~Later on is the suite by Benjamin Godard, I really hate this music cause i never ever make it sounds right! Fantasie for flute and piano is my 3rd item for my recital, it's written by Georges Hue. I think i did a great job on those scales...ahahahaha~~ And the very last finale is my Mozart Flute Concerto No.2 in D Major...According from Mr. Joost, it's good but the 3rd movement is slightly faster...should make it in a moderate tempo...(sigh...i think so...but i just couldn't stop my fingers, i m too nervous!!)

That's it for my recital and a foot stop for my diploma level...now it's a brand new start for my life...i been occupied with few performances and will tour to east Malaysia the end of year...I planed to make myself a recordings so i can send to conservotary to apply a scholarship!!

Mission confirmed!!

I will work harder and i promise to myself i won't give up blogging!!!

HUGS!!

fasting mode activated!

There is a question that i always want to ask my Malays friend. "Will you get upset when the fasting month arrived?" From what i know about "fasting", it's a very tough thing to do because it's involved physically and mentally discipline! You cant swallow your saliva when you are thirsty, you can't even kiss your mate! No food before buka puasa...sigh...it's quite suffer that if you are hungry but you can't eat! A fat boy like sure will faint for the first day! LOL
So as a non-Malay, yet I'm Malaysian but Chinese! It's quite hard for us to switch or tune into the fasting mode...well...well...i'm not saying that i gonna fasting as well...i mean i try and avoid drinking water and eat my food in front of them...BUT...it's tough!!! me, myself is naturally hungry most of the time...LOL...so i wild put something in my mouth naturally when every i feel i want to...LOL...so i show you an example: I just got to KL Central after my flute lesson with Hristo at KLCC, i decided to buy an ice-cream at McD...yummy!! a nice chocolate ice-cream, it's so refreshing under the great heat of the sun! And the platform is always packed with people and you gonna squeeze like sardine if you want to get in the commuter. So i have my yummy ice-cream while i m waiting at the platform...well when time passed by, i can feel some negative "energy" or "Qi" around me!!!!! my bloody Malay friends are fasting NOW!!!
SORRY!!!!!
I snake out from the sight of the peoples asap and try to cramp all the ice-cream in my mouth in once! what a terrible experience!! my sweet ice-cream was wasted and i can't have it slowly as in i can enjoy every single moment the ice-cream melt on my tongue tip! gee...
Anyway, i'm not blaming you guys? Boleh? I just want to show my respect to them because i know it's very tough! So to all my fella Muslim friend, SORRY!!! and all the best for the fasting month!!! I will help you all to finish the foods before they appear on your sight!!! muahahahahaha.....

Pasar Pagi

Today i wake up earlier because i promised my mummy that i will follow her to the market this morning. Nowadays KL keep on raining, so there is no exception for today as well. The weather is cold and the road is wet. Daddy drive us to the market place which is very close to our house at Desa Jaya. Yes, Desa Jaya...the place that i grow up. I remember that i always follow my mummy to the market when i was a kiddo and i will ask her to buy me "Char Kue Tiao" for an uncle. Unfortunately, he passed away because of lungs cancer. sad.......

This market recall all my memories back. The way that people hawk, you can hear all kind of different dialect. Maybe some of you don't know that Chinese in Malaysia came from different province, we had Hokkien, Hakka, Canton and blah blah blah...so many!!!! And me, I'm from a Hakka family. Isaac gor gor use to told me that he love Hakka so much, the way we speak are so rough....LOL....he had a unique taste eh?? The floor in the market is always wet, and they always smells gross. YUCKS...the moment you step on the water you will faint if this is your first experience to a traditional market...THEY ARE DISGUSTING!!! hahaha...but all those aunties and uncles already have the immunity of it! hahaha...

You can get anything in the traditional market and you can negotiate the price. You can even found pirated DVDs here!! Sorry, but i don't buy!~~ Peoples here mostly from the 50's and 60's...and they had there unique way of grooming. Aunties usually love to curl their hair and color them into red or maroon. I can't say they are old-fashioned, it's just the way they love to be...You will found very interesting if you listen they conversation between those aunties. Specially if they speak in your mother-tongue. It's so into your blood. Those vintage bicycle that parked on the roadside complete the whole scenery.
On my way back home, i notice that there are so many beautiful flowers in my garden. NO, i should say it's my daddy's garden. He is a healthy old man...LOL(he is 62 this year), but he look like 50 for me. My daddy is a green finger, one of his hobby except from eat is gardening...let me show you some of his masterpiece!

Hola September!!!

I would like to dedicate this post to my "God" family!! hahaha...yes, i think most of the older Chinese community love to have god-parents for their children. Either their god-parents are saint or goddess in their religion, or even Buddha as well. My very own god-parents or god-family, is my uncle and auntie (my mother's sister and brother-in-law). They had 2 beautiful daughters, they are my pretty sisters!!! Ms. Shukyi ( mother of three children) and Ms. Annice ( mother of two children). They both have different character but with one similarity! IT'S ... ... we love GOSSIP!!!!! muahahahahaha...we can gossip together whatever happen around us, from top to bottom; from family to international celebrities! You name it and we can dig into it!!!

I just love to spend time with them, they fulfills my emptiness while i'm lonely. They treated me even better then my brothers! LOL...recently, my sister just teased me that why i seldom blog recently...well, what to do? I going to have my final recital soon. Assignments, practices, rehearsals...became my daily routine nowadays. And my readers population stop growing!~

How can this happen?? aih....sad~nya!

Anyway, i would like to say thanks to all of them that visited my blog before and my wonderful god-family too. I received my belated birthday-cake from them few days ago, and they bought me to makan dim sum on National Day.
My eldest sis keep on complaining the flowers make the cake so lame...LOL
cheese and coffee make a good couple that better than grapes and lemon
"har gao", "sui mai"~~~~~~!!
Adui...why think so long??
a heavy breaky for the day! YET delicious!!!!

HAPPY BIRD-DAY

Arghh...gosh...i'm 20yo now~! Vincent! you getting older! You have to behave more like an adult, think wise before you talk and be more responsible. (yeah...i knew this since i graduate from secondary school) People will be very surprise when ever i tell them i m 20 this year, either they think i m more then that or less. Most of them says i m more mature then my actually age, maybe is the way i talk and act? Does it mean i m old? soon i will grow older and become an uncle...

I asked myself what I achieved in this 20 years. I think it's a lot...I manage to finish my education level till a diploma level and got my full-scholarship by myself. I have no doubt that i spent my life in the right way! Life is always up and down, and i m a soft boy. hahahaha....i will get hurt easily but i won't show. Thats the way to survive eh? I always tell myself "you only live once", so i will try out what ever i want so that i won't regret!
As previous, i got a lot of b-day wishes from my friends and family. Either they text me or ring me up, i really appreciate and precious their wishes. I feel lucky that finally one of my friend asked me out for lunch on my b-day! Because i didn't celebrate my b-day with anyone for like 3 or 4 years. I would like to say thanks to Eric!!!!!!!!!

i love you!!! and you are the best!!!

Eric and i know each other for 2 years. And i really suprise that he remember my b-day! LOL...He bought me to 1U to have sushi and later on we spent the afternoon for movie.

you no money, i not happy

As a Malaysian, sometimes really confusing that either I'm a Chinese that born in Malaysia or Malaysia Chinese? LOL...what i wanted to throw out is, majority of the Malaysian are not the origin in Malaysia. We are all from different country just like what happen in U.S and Australia. We had Chinese from Main Land China, Indians from India and Malays from Indonesia. See?? But i still can't understand why the government claim Malays as the origin in Malaysia? They are all immigrants like us. And those so-called Malacca Sultanate heroes with the honor of "Hang", they are all Muslim from China. But at the end they said they are Malays too but not Chinese. Even in our history they didn't notice where they from. And those specialities that offered to our so called "bumiputera" are extremely unfair to others. ( origin in Malaysia called themselves bumiputera = prince of the earth?) You may asked some of your friends that live in Malaysia, even all my Caucasian friends know this.

Well...well...I never been to Australia nor US. But do you guys need to fill in what's your nation if you want to apply something. And we are trained to fill in either you are Malays, Chinese, Indians or others, but we will never fill in with Malaysian. So now what? National commercial said others fight for union but we don't have to. But why we are all Malaysian but we are still different? It's just like asking American to fill in the application form either you are Black or White.

what to do? life still have to go on. I still love Malays satay, Indians mamak. hahahaha... ...I watched a great movie from Singapore, "Money No Enough II". It's well portrait they way people stay in Malaysia and Singapore. But i refer to Chinese...LOL.... So if any one of you want to know the true culture of Malaysia or Singapore, you must go and watch the movie. The cinema is full house and flooded with audience's' tears because of the nice act and impressive story line. So, don't miss it ok? must go!!!!!!!

S W U U - E - E - T !

Hola! I'm back safe and sound! Guys, i miss you all from my bottom of my heart! Where to begin with? eh... ...well. I'm really happy that i able to login blogger again after being awhile without pc in my daily life. As some of you know that i went to a music camp for a week. yeah...yeah...but still I CAN'T LOGIN!!!
What else? It's the stupid streamyx again! DANG...The very first thing that i do when i reached home is turn on my pc and login to the internet. Unfortunately, it doesn't work AGAIN! Yes, again...I don't know why must my pc caught in problems everytimes after i leave it alone for weeks or what. This really drive me crazy all the time. I phone up streamyx asap. After couple of days, they sent a technician to my house and help me sort out the problems. The streamyx guy is an old man called Ah Lim, or Pak Cik Lim? haha...he is a Malay thou...

After this and that, here and there. I finally get myself back to the old days with my pc...LOL
just like a kiddo that get his ice-cream from mummy!
SWEET!!!!

World Without Stranger

Had any one of you heard the latest project called “World Without Stranger - Giordano Tee Project” from Giordano? Regarding to the world madness Beijing Olympic 2008, Giordano came out a series of desingers tee shirt. They invited 12 artist all over the world and produced a collection consist of 16 printed tee shirt based on the theme “World Without Strangers” that duly echoes this year’s Olympic Games 2008 slogan - “One World, One Dream.”
Obviously i'm not into any sports, that's why i'm always in shape.

"Round is a SHAPE"

Anyhow, i still want to show my support to the Olympic games. There fore, i bought one of the tee shirt that designed by a Taiwan artist, Stanley Tai (www.tw.myblog.yahoo.com/simon71213). His designs are available for male and female as well.

Concept: “People might appear to be as cold as robots, but we still have a caring, loving heart towards nature. Over-consumed resources, abused woodlands, seasonal migratory birds lost their homes. But the robot shows his love to these birds, flies the airship and convoys them to a safe home (the robot holds the nest of the birds).”

Well, as usual, i took few pics and try to do modeling?? LOL please don't laugh ok??

so the list must start with my beloved Powell Signature! LOL
1. Instrument (flute+piccolo)
2. Music
3. Clothes + jeans + undie/boxer
4. Stocking
5. Shoes (sanddles included)
6. Concert attire

APPLE or ORANGE?

The introduction of iPhone turn those gadgets freak crazy! The cool design and functions captured the attention from the public. Everyone planning to own one asap because it's really fun to play it and proud to own it! Rumors nowadays spread every way...they said they can get a iPhone 1st generation about RM600(around USD 250$). cool eh? Can this be true? it's even cheaper then a iPod Classic! Com'on!? To prove this is false, i did a survey by net search and i went to retail stores to get more info too. You gonna pay up at least RM1800+ to get a used iPhone and RM2500+ to get a new one. well...well... believe it or not, the shopkeeper even told me that they didn't offer guarantee...(erm...maybe they are very confident that their "apples" are always fresh!)
So, how can you get a brand new iPhone with RM600? doesn't matter it's the old version or the 3G, it just won't happen! (but never say never, who knows maybe you really can get one, if it does...please let me know!!!!!!!!!!) ok,ok...i think there are some voices buzzing around my ears...maybe you saw it before with your bare eyes...but do you know it's a imitation? a 99.9% imitation? LOL...you can get few companies offering iPhone imitations on the market, majority from China. Yessss...indeed! The first Communist country that host Olympic ever! (this is the new way describe China...muahahaha)
The company name is iOrange...wtf? hahahahhaha...it's true lah...believe me! Beside iOrange, some Korean factory also doing the clone of iPhone, with the same logo and you can't even notice it's a clone without some expert's guidelines!

iPhone's clone
http://item.eachnet.com/prd/1212502818847405_prd.html

And here is the iOrange that i mentioned earlier. It's a good imitation also, they using their very own logo and i think they registered in China also... http://www.iorgane.com/cp_f1.asp?id=18

eh?? why the poster is iOrgane? haha...well...the founder of this company said they got the wrong spelling while they trying to write orange. So instead of orange, they decide to use organe as their product name! You can get either one of them with less then 200USD!!! LOL

so...apple or orange?

buy for quality! buy BROS!

I'm very sure people in Malaysia like to use water bottles that make from polycarbonate. Sort of plastic but it's harder and light. I bought one from Jusco Kepong last few weeks, it's a 700ml bottle with royal blue symmetrical picture. The design is good and it looks class with a cheap price! The stupid me put it into the freeze zone of the frige fill with water! and i leave it over night....

My poor bottle cracked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Jesus, it didn't broke! but now my bottle looks like pregnant! LOL...yet unique!

It seems the quality really good! so i strongly recommend to peoples!
after i confirmed my bottel are pragnant!
can you see the crack marks?

I'm not Stupid!!! (KTM version)

I'm 19 going to 20 this year, and considered as young adult yet i can't get in the casino. I completed my kindergarten, primary and secondary education. Do you i m stupid enough to get in your trap? This incident happen on yesterday when i traveling to KL central by the KTM. I made an appointed with Su Mei at Taman Paramount LRT station on 11am to pass my music to her. As usual, daddy fetch me to KTM station and i check in with my touch'n go. It's normal that many foreigners appeared around my area. Olympic is so happening and so does Kepong did. You can see some China-man, Nigerian, and others south-east Asians. I pluged on my hearphone and listen my favorite bossanova music while waiting the never ever punctual KTM commuter.

As expected, they are lated for almost 20mins, due to some "failure" or some "error"s. Well, i don't understand why there are some many this and that happen. Such a bull shit management but something i felt insult is, their slogan are "save time, save money, save energy" (if i'm not mistaken) gee.. .. ..apa itu! I get on th commuter as soon as the arrivel, and there is a Nigerian right beside me. After we passed few station, he suddenly talk to me. I'm in a shock!

nigerian says: Hi! Which country you from?
me says: Hi...I'm local, Malaysian. (definitely not Nigerian!)
nigerian says: I though you are Korean.
me says: no, i'm not. (is this a compliment?)
nigerian says: I like to make friends...blah blah blah
me says: ok...(tell me he is not interested with me!!) nice to meet you

the conversation stop for few mins without reason... ...

nigerian says: actually i have something to ask you.
me says: what can i help you?
nigerian says: i need to travel down to Ninal but i didn't brought my ATM card. so....
me says: ok. i think it's possible i can buy you a ticket ( god damnit! i should ignore him earlier!)
nigerian says: thanks...my gf actually waiting me at...blah blah blah

and i started to entertaint him and try to ignore him. I get a sit just right after peoples living, BUT he sit beside me again! I failed!
Finally we arrived KL central. We wishper to me again.

nigerian says: can you help me buy the ticket? like lend me 10 bucks...
me says: but you just have to take KTM to Nilai, it's the same line!!
nigerian says: it's ok... (leaving)
My goodness, how can he be so stupid? You thought i m little kiddo kah? S.O.B!

stress and moody!

Today is the first day i back to school. Everythings looks just like what they have to be but with some new faces walking around. Yes, they latest intake of the music department. There are a total 11 of them with 2 boys and all girls. The first thing i arrived my college is put to my cello and check out the notice board. It seems i missed alot of things and i have to submit up before 15th of August. Did i said i put my cello? GOSH... ...i can't even remember i owned a cello. arghh... ...and i don't know why they asked us to take a minor instrument as a subject and it's compulsory. Good news and bad news here and there. The good news is - Ms. Ang is pregnant, she is my oral teacher, teach us vocal solfage and she teach Italian too. And the bad news is - i don't have enough time to complete so manythings at once! I have to submit something regards to my major and minor recital and a tons of assignment by Ms. Yuan... ...etc

I didn't sleep well these few days. So manythings cramped together and i m worrying something else. aih... ...ya, EK.. ..if you are reading this... ...please take care ok? I know you got alot of test and exam this coming few weeks. All the best! Hugs!

back on track!

I going back to KLCC today to have my first rehearsal after the long break! It's a chamber rehearsal for this coming MPYO camp. We going to play 'Upon Enchanted Ground" by Alan Hovhaness (http://www.hovhaness.com/hovhaness.html), Op. 90, No.1,written for flute, cello, giant tamtam and harp. The rehearsal venue is the Soloist Room 1 in DFP, and we going to run the rehearsal for 2 hours time. As usual, we tune our instrument before the rehearsal and this is the special day for my new flute also. This is the first ensemble experience for my new flute. My flute works really well today, although some intonation problems due to i still not really use to it. It's because my previous flute had alot of intonation problems and i have to move the angel almost every notes. And now on the Powell Signature i have to move less or even not. hahahaha....so satisfied with it. And my flute sounds rich even in the very dry acoustic!

LOL...looks like a pair of gloves, actually it's harp with the cover!

The rehearsal run not pretty well today. I had a printing error right on the second bar and Bryan struggling with his awkward syncopation rhythm on his harp with weird fingerings. Sui Yen went crazy by keep counting the rest with her tamtam. And me suffering also, i have to deal with a plain and repeated melody. I think this music is kind of minimalism and it's a programme music. I took few pics when we having break in between the rehearsal!
Sui Yen intend to kill me with her tamtam's mallet!!
me with my Powell Signature
Bryan decided to spoilt the gold harp so he can get a new one!
me again!
the music on my stands.
Bryan looks exhausted after the rehearsal!

an encounter with Beng Yew

I text up my friend, Beng Yew few days ago. I asked him out for a movie cause such a long time didn't see him and want to catch up some topics. So, we decided to meet up at Time Square around 1pm. Well, KTM are late as usual and I'm late again. Luckily the show haven't start yet and i manage to rush in the cinema on time or should i say slightly late. The movie we going to watch is "Sparrow", it's Hongkie movie that based on snatch thieves in HK. Hongkie used to named those thief as "Sparrow", I wonder why? Sparrow steal things in real life too? If it does, I should adopt few cause I'm broke now.

I can't say it's a big disappointment. I can just say it's not my cup of Milo. I'm not those brilliant kind of person, and the movie are too "artistic". Anyway, the music are really nice thou. The chords are so beautiful and the mixture of Chinese instrument with western are superb. I can even smells the typical Hongkie aroma from the music. I will give 3 stars out of 5, because it's really not my cup of Milo. You can read the reviews that composed by others by clicking this link: http://www.lovehkfilm.com/reviews_2/sparrow.html

Beng Yew bought me McD's Apple Pie...YUMMY...but it's cold...sigh...the movie last around 80mins and we head to a music shop called 'Bently' soon as we leave Time Square. I bought a micro fiber cloth for my instrument and Beng Yew bought a "tuner"? "roller"? for his upbright bass. Later on, we walk to Sungei Wang and have our tea break. I took out my camera and snap few pics.

potato wedges with BBQ sauce.

hot cappucino.

seafood with cheese in toasted bread.

garden salad.

Meanwhile, i captured myself and Beng Yew too while he is playing with his new toy.

ya, i almost forget that Sungei Wang is so happening that day. Sort of like there is a Percussion Festival, and i take few pics when the Japanese representative performing!
